This page is being developed as resource page for all teachers who have downloaded Maths Box to use in their classrooms.

What is MathsBox ?
Basically a calculation tool to provide quick fire mental maths question as a starter or as a focus on mental maths skills. You can change values to suit the needs of the class and provide differentiation very simply. There are alternate 'boxes' to choose from suitable for younger age groups.
Ways to use MathsBox.
Using the OHT printable sheet you can fill in numbers as you wish without the need of a data projector. You can hand out blank answer boxes for the pupils to fill in themselves. You can set homework at the pressing of just a few keys. Pupils can compete with each other to get all 64 questions correct first. Timed tests in which they try to beat their previous score. Team races with the empty box projected onto a screen.
What results can I expect?
Personally I have seen my class improve greatly with their mental maths. They have fun with the competitive aspect and should I forget to do a MathsBox once a week they will kick up a fuss!
Maths box requires Microsoft Excel to run.
