These puzzles are fantastic in their simplicity and logical reasoning. Each column, row and 3x3 block can only contain the numbers 1 to 9 once.
Easy SuDoku. To find the top left corner, according to the top row, the number could be 2,3,4 or 5. Looking at the column, the number could be 3 or 9. In the 3x3 block the number could be 2,3,4 or 9. Using logic, we can see the missing number must be 3. As a result, the missing value two squares below must be a 9.
You find that as you reveal one number, many more become available.
Harder version. It gets harder when there are less clues. Cells potentially have more than one value and only by trying different ideas can you hope to finish!
